The South Branch Library will soon close its doors, but customers shouldn’t worry. A brand new set of doors will open in October and welcome everyone to an expanded and more usable South Branch.
Effective on Sunday, August 16 the South Branch will be closed for the final stage of expansion and renovation. While the South Branch is closed, both the Emily Fowler Central Library and North Branch Library will be available to library customers for checking out and returning items. There will be no book drop available at the South Branch location during the closure. All items checked out from the South Branch due after August 15 will have to be returned to either of these two branches. Customers will also be able to pick up holds, use the Internet and participate in programs at these branches.
When the South Branch Library reopens in mid-October it will have increased the size of not only the building but the collection of books, music and DVDs.
If customers have any questions about the expansion or their materials, please call 940-349-8752.
