Jungle Bedtime Stories @ the North Branch

Get ready for bedtime in the jungle at the North Branch Library!  We will read stories and sing songs about monkeys, gorillas, tigers, elephants and all of our jungle friends.   Don’t forget to wear your pajamas and to bring your favorite stuffed friend.  Join us on Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at the North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St.  This program is free and is best for ages 1-5, but the whole family is welcome.

Come celebrate Thanksgiving and turkeys with a special StoryTime at the Denton Public Library.  Our festivities will include stories, songs, puppets and a craft.  This program is intended for children ages 1-5, but the whole family is welcome.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed friend to the North Branch Library on July 26 at 7 p.m.  We will read bedtime stories, sing bedtime songs, and tuck our stuffed friends in for a cozy night at the library.  Come to the North Branch the next afternoon to pick up your stuffed friend and receive free photos of their fun-filled night at the library!  Space is limited, so please call 940-349-8715 to register.  This program is best for ages 1-6.

Programs for Working Parents

No time to take your children to library programs during the weekdays? The Denton Public Library understands that not all parents can attend weekday morning and afternoon programs, and offers StoryTime, Book Adventures, and Toddler Time at alternate times so that all families may benefit from these programs.

“Research has taught us that these programs encourage reading, offer extensive enrichment activities related to literature, and are enjoyable educational opportunities for the young children who join us!” says Eva Poole, Director of Libraries.
