Using a Mouse and a Keyboard

Using a computer mouse and keyboard are essential skills for the novice computer user.  Learn to effectively use these important parts of the computer and begin building the skills needed for basic computer use, at the South Branch Library on Wednesday, May 8. This is a very basic computer class, but we will not cover typing.

The class will be about an hour and a half. Class size is limited, so please call to register.

Working With Word Class

Learn to use Microsoft Word at the South Branch Library. A two-part class to introduce novice users to the Word 2007 will be presented on September 7 and September 9 at 2 p.m. Those needing a refresher course in the basic functions of the popular word processing program are also welcome to attend. Each session will last about an hour and a half. In order to take the class, students must be familiar with using a mouse and know how to save and retrieve files in Microsoft Windows

 

When:             Wed 9/7 & Fri 9/9  2 pm  (two part class)

Where:           Denton Public Library – South Branch

Learn to use Microsoft Word at the North Brach Library.  A three-part class to introduce novice users to Word 2007 will be presented on April 26, April 27, and April 28 at 6:30 p.m.  Those needing a refresher course in the basic functions of the popular word processing program are welcome to attend.  Each class will last approximately two hours.  Students must be familiar with using the keyboard, mouse, and know how to save and retrieve files in Microsoft Windows.  There is no charge for this class, so please call 940.349.8752 to register.

When:             Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, April 25, April 26, & April 27

Intro to Computers Class

 

 

Denton, TX – Learn the basics of using a computer at the South Branch Library. A class covering such topics as how to use a mouse, computer components, computer terminology and the Windows XP operating system will be presented in December. It is for both new computer users and those seeking to reinforce their skills.

The class consists of two sessions, each of which lasts around an hour and a half. Class size is limited, so please call to register.

Getting Started With Microsoft Word 2007

The Denton Public Library South Branch, 3228 Teasley Lane, will host a class introducing the basics of Microsoft Word 2007. This is a basic class for those not yet familiar with this word processing program, but those needing a refresher are also welcome. The class will be offered twice, first on Wednesday, February 10th at 2 pm and again on Monday, February 22nd at 7 pm. The classes will last about an hour and a half. Participants will need to know how to use a computer mouse and how to save and retrieve files in Microsoft Windows.
