Denton Public Library Now Has Kindle Books!

Kindle users can now check out electronic books from the Denton Public Library.

Kindle-friendly “e-books” became available last week at thousands of libraries across the country. Readers in Denton can check them out by clicking the “Download Center” button on the library’s website (www.dentonlibrary.com). A full service Denton Public Library card is required to download a book.

Readers never have to leave their homes to check out a title. They’ll have three weeks to read the book before it automatically returns itself to the library — there are no late fees. There is a limit of ten books that can be checked out at a time.

E-books have been available at the library to users of other electronic reading devices, such as the Barnes & Noble Nook or the Sony Reader, for several years. Those with iPhones or Android devices can also access the e-books.

For those looking for help setting up their eReader to download books from the library there are classes offered every month and can be found on the library website. Customer can also set up free one-on-one “Book a Librarian” sessions for help at any of the library branches. Please call 940-349-8752 for more information.

For more information, contact the Denton Public Library at 940-349-8752 or library@cityofdenton.com
