The Role of Near-Death Experiences, Deathbed Visions, and After-Death Communication in Grief and Grief Counseling.

Grief is a normal reaction to loss. Nevertheless, in response to the death of a loved one, grief can be challenging. According to anecdote and research evidence, experiencing or witnessing any of three types of transpersonal experiences – those that transcend the usual personal limits of space and/or time – often reduce grief. Join us Saturday October 13 at 3 pm, at the Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland St. as Dr. Jan Holden explores these three types of experiences and their effects on grief.

Dr.  Jan Holden is the Department Chair and Professor in the College Counseling & Higher Education at UNT.  She is the co-author of “The Handbook of Near-Death Experiences: Thirty Years of Investigation.”
