Local Writers Offer Advice
Members of the Denton Writers League will debut their second anthology, Snacks for the Mind, and discuss the writing process at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland. League members will conduct a panel discussion about their works in Snacks of the Mind and the writing process. They will offer advice for the beginning writer as well as how to where and how to submit your work when it is finished.
The Denton Writers League is a group of readers, and published and unpublished writers who help each other hone their craft through external critique groups, guest speakers, and workshops.

No More Diapers StoryTime
Does your child need a little extra motivation to get on that potty and out of those diapers? Then join us on Saturday, July 14 at 10 a.m. at the North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. We will read potty stories, sing potty songs and see some of our puppet friends, too. Afterwards, toys and puppets will be available for the children so that parents have a chance to socialize with one another and share their potty-training tips and trials. This program is best for children ages 1-5.
