Back to Basics Nutrition for Boomers

Learn updated nutrition information, food safety procedures, food resource management, how to read food labels and the importance of daily physical activity in these classes developed specially for Denton County citizens age 50 and up. Instructors from Better Living for Texans (BLT) will provide a series of free nutrition and healthy living classes at the Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland Street.
Each class will be hands-on and interactive with food demonstrations. Classes will meet on Mondays, from January 23 to February 6 from 3-4 pm. At the end of the three weeks participants will receive a certificate of completion, recipes, handouts and other health related-incentives. BLT is a division of the Texas AgriLIFE Extension Service-Denton County Office.
