Fall 2011 Children’s Classes
Join us at all three branches of the Denton Public Library for our regularly-scheduled classes for children. All programs are free of charge and begin the week of September 5. Please note the new times for North Branch’s Mother Goose Time and Afternoon Adventure Club.
Mother Goose Time
Infant classes that promote infant and caregiver bonding through stories, songs and activities. For infants birth to 18 months and their caregivers.
- Tuesdays at South Branch Library at 9:30 am
- Fridays at North Branch Library at 9:30 am
Toddler Time
Special classes that promote literacy and social interaction through stories, songs and toddler-appropriate activities. For toddlers 12-36 months and their caregivers.
- Tuesdays at South Branch Library at 10:30 am
- Wednesdays at Emily Fowler Library at 9:30 am
Story Time
Interactive preschool classes that use stories, songs and puppets to build early literacy skills and prepare children to learn to read. For children ages 1-5 and their caregivers.
- Wednesdays at Emily Fowler Library at 11:00 am
- Thursdays at South Branch Library at 10:00 & 11:00 am
- Fridays at North Branch Library at 11:00 am
- Saturdays at South Branch Library at 10:00 am
Afternoon Adventure Club
Listen to a story, then create a craft or conduct an experiment in this hands-on workshop for kids in K-3rd grade.
- Tuesdays at North Branch Library at 4:30 pm
- Thursdays at South Branch Library at 3:30 pm
- Thursdays at Emily Fowler Library at 4:00 pm
