Intrigued by the folded animals and decorations you’ve seen from time to time? Want to know more about this traditional Japanese folk art? The Denton Public Library is offering classes for adults who are interested in learning the basics of this traditional Japanese folk art. A series of Origami 101 classes will be held at the Emily Fowler Central Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on three Thursdays in April (April 7, 14, and 21).
During the course of the three classes, instructors will show you how to make the basic folds and combine them to make animals and simple boxes. Origami paper will be provided for practice, but feel free to bring supplies from your own “stash” if you have one.
