Conversational American Sign Language Classes

Conversational American Sign Language, a 10-week program, will be offered at North Branch Library on Saturdays, beginning January 22. Level 1 Basic American Sign Language will be offered from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will learn to sign the basic manual alphabet and numbers, everyday expressions, and health related phrases and more. Level 2 More Advanced American Sign Language will follow the Level 1 class from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participants will have an opportunity to practice more complicated sentences. Both programs will be led by Dr. Jonah Eleweke, American Sign Language instructor at Texas Woman’s University. There is no charge for this program, but registration is recommended.
