Peyote Bead Stitching Class
Want to learn a new craft? Like the idea of beading your own jewelry or other decorations? Denton Public Library is offering a series of classes for adults who are interested in learning the off-loom beading technique known as Peyote Stitch. The classes will be held at the Emily Fowler Central Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on three Thursdays, 01/6/11, 01/13/11, and 01/20/11. Librarians and volunteers will demonstrate the basic flat even-count stitch and how to read patterns, and attendees can choose from among three project patterns. Needles, beading thread, and beads will be provided for practice, but feel free to bring supplies from your own “stash” if you have one.
The program is free, but space is limited, so please call to register by January 3. To register, or for more information, please call 940-349-8752.
