Crazy for Cupcakes

Cupcakes were big last year.  Not sure if they are still as popular as they were (they are in my house!), but we just got some children’s books in about cupcakes: 

Little Mouse and the Big Cupcake by Taylor Thomas and Jill Barton is a cute picture book about a mouse who needs help moving his giant cupcake.  All of his animal friends show up to help, but their idea of helping is to make the cupcake smaller (by eating it, of course!). 

Babymouse: Cupcake Tycoon by Jennifer L. Holm and Matt Holm is volume 13 in the Babymouse graphic novel series.  In this latest addition to the series, Babymouse competes against her rival, Felicia Furrypaws, to sell the most cupcakes for the school fundraiser.   Babymouse is a perennial favorite among the female tween set, and this latest volume will not disappont Babymouse fans.
