North Branch opens CLIC to Jobseekers!
Today’s job search can be difficult for people unfamiliar with common online requirements like email responses, electronic applications and résumé submissions. The Denton Public Library and Workforce Solutions of North Central Texas are joining forces to offer help for jobseekers in need of free computer time and technology assistance.
Starting in July, the North Branch Library, located at 3020 N. Locust, will open the CLIC (Computer Learning and Instruction Center) on the first and third Mondays of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for jobseekers. Trained library staff will be on hand to assist applicants in opening email accounts, searching and applying for job openings and creating résumés. The Denton Public Library also has several free electronic resources designed to help with the job seeking process, including résumé builders and skill assessments.
The schedule for July and August is Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m., July 7, July 21, Aug 4, and Aug 18. This service is offered at no cost and is open to the public.
